Bank of America CANCELS $5 debit card fee! Finally listens to customers.

“We have listened to our customers very closely over the last few weeks and recognize their concern with our proposed debit usage fee,” said David Darnell, Bank of Americas co-chief operating officer. “Our customers voices are most important to us. As a result, we are not currently charging the fee and will not be moving forward with any additional plans to do so.”

Now, with the upgrade, merchants can send customers a link to download an app on their mobile phone called a Square Card Case. Dorsey says merchants will have Google Analytics style data that merchants can access, such as how many muffins were sold, and to which types of customers, and more.
